Installation

This section describes the installation of ampz. It assumes you have already downloaded the zip file.

Note: since version 2.0 ampz is no longer compatible with Joomla 2.

The first thing you need to do is to login to the administrative area of your Joomla website. Once you do that, access the Joomla Extension Manager by going to Extensions -> Manage.

Once you open the Extension Manager, you have three options to chose from to install your extension. In most cases, you should go for the first option but it's good to know that there are alternatives.

Next, click on Upload Package File, select the downloaded zip file and click Upload & Install.

If everything went ok, you should be redirected to the about page of the plugin, see screenshot below. Also, the plugin should be enabled, see the green box.

If you receive an error installing the extension, please do not worry. This is usually due to some permission or configuration mistakes. Please Google the message you obtain from the website (you are not the only one having this specific issue) and read the regarding posts. If you need some help, just let me know.

Now the fun part can begin, let's start configuring ampz.
